Header and footer
6 header and 6 footer layouts of the Trust template for OpenCart 3: languages, currencies, login, advantages, payment methods, copyright.
The header and footer are set up in the template settings: Octemplates → Trust OCTemplates - template settings, the “Settings” tab, then “Header” and “Footer”.
Here you choose the layout. The data comes from elsewhere: menu items — from “Menu”, phones and addresses — from “Contacts”, the logo — from the OpenCart store settings.
Header

Header variant
Six layouts — choose the one that suits your store best:
| Variant | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Island | A floating island header: catalog combined with search, icons in a separate dock, a top strip with language and currency. |
| Classic | Top strip, then logo, catalog button, wide search, phone and icons. |
| Compact | A single slim row without the top strip, leaving more room for content. |
| Center | Centered logo, catalog and search on the left, contacts on the right, category menu in its own row. |
| Contrast | A dark header with light elements and a category menu row with a highlighted sale link. |
| Minimal | One row: a few menu items with “More”, search and a cart button showing the total. |
Not sure which to pick? Temporarily turn on “Customization panel for visitors” in the general settings and switch header and footer layouts right on the storefront. Only you see the choice made in the panel, so afterwards save the layout you like here and turn the panel off.
Header elements
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Show “Authorization” | Customer login and account. |
| Show “Languages” | Language switcher. Useful if the store has several languages. |
| Show “Currencies” | Currency switcher. |
The “Compare” and “Wishlist” buttons and the dark theme switch are enabled in the general settings.
Footer

Footer variant
| Variant | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| Main | Dark footer: store benefits, link columns, contacts and newsletter, payment methods at the bottom. |
| Compact | A compact dark footer in one row: links, phone and social networks. |
| Light | A light footer with a large newsletter banner and four columns. |
| Mega | A dark footer with a help card (phone and contact button) and link columns. |
| Brand | A footer in the brand color: columns, newsletter and a large brand word at the bottom. |
| Minimal | A minimal light footer: centered links, social networks, copyright and payments. |
Not every block appears in every layout:
- Advantages block — only in Main;
- newsletter form — in Main, Light and Brand;
- payment methods and copyright — in all layouts.
Footer elements
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| To top button | A button that appears on scroll and takes the visitor back to the top of the page. |
| Subscription in the footer | Newsletter subscription form. Mailing setup is described in the “Newsletter subscription” module article. |
| Copyright | Custom text for each language. You can use {year} and {name} — the current year and the store name. Empty field — default text. |
Copyright example:
© 2015–{year} {name}. All rights reserved.
Advantages block
Short store advantages in the footer: “Next-day delivery”, “2-year warranty”, “Pay in installments” and so on. For each item set:
- Image — a PNG or SVG icon with a transparent background, ideally 64×64;
- Title and Text — for each language.
Items without a title are not displayed — a handy way to hide an item temporarily without deleting it.

Payment systems
Payment method logos at the bottom of the footer. Turn on the built-in ones you need: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Skrill, LiqPay, Privat24, Plata by mono, WayForPay, Interkassa.
To add a logo that isn’t in the list, click “Add” at the bottom of the block, upload an image and turn it on. The logo is shown at row height, so a horizontal image with a transparent background works best.
