How to add a link with a size chart, compatibility table or image in a popup to the product page in the Trust template for OpenCart 3: content, categories and manufacturers, order.

2 min read

The module adds a link to the product page that opens a window with a reference table or image: a clothing and shoe size chart, “Fits” for accessories, a compatibility table, a selection guide.

Size chart in a popup on the product page

Open Octemplates → Size chart.

How it works

  1. Create an entry

    In the list click “Add”. Each entry is one table or image, its title and display conditions.

    Size chart list

  2. Fill in the content

    The link title, image and table — for each language.

  3. Choose where to show it

    For which categories and manufacturers. None selected — the entry is shown on all products.

The link appears near the price on the product page. If several entries fit a product, all are shown — in sort order.

Entry settings

Entry form: general and content

General and content

FieldWhat to enter
Admin nameTo tell entries apart in the list: “Women’s clothing”, “Nike shoes”. Customers don’t see it. Empty — the link title is used in the list.
TitleThe link text on the product page and the window title for each language: “Size chart”, “Fits”, “Compatibility”. Empty — “Size chart”.
ImageOptional. Shown in the window above the table.
Table or textOptional. A table, list or any text. You can add both an image and a table.

Fill in the content for at least one language. If there is no content for the current language, the link isn’t shown for it.

It’s convenient to paste a table in the editor’s code view (</>). Example:

<table>
<tr><th>Size</th><th>Chest, in</th><th>Waist, in</th></tr>
<tr><td>S</td><td>34–35</td><td>26–28</td></tr>
<tr><td>M</td><td>35–37</td><td>28–29</td></tr>
</table>

Where to show and display

Entry form: where to show and display

FieldWhat it does
CategoriesThe entry is shown for products from the selected categories and their subcategories. None selected — for products from any category.
ManufacturersOnly for products of the selected manufacturers. None selected — for any manufacturer.
StatusA disabled entry disappears from all product pages.
Sort orderThe order of links if several entries fit: a lower number — further left and higher.

Tip. If both categories and manufacturers are set, a product must match both conditions. That lets you make a separate chart, for example, for Nike shoes only and show a general one for other shoes.
