Product sets
How to create product sets with a discount on the product page in the Trust template for OpenCart 3: set contents and discounts, validity period, customer groups, display in categories and manufacturers.
A set is a group of products a customer can buy together at a discount: a smartphone, earphones and a case. A “Profitable set” block appears on the page of every product that belongs to the set.

Open Octemplates → Products sets.
How it works
Create a set
In the list click “Add set” — contents, discounts, period and who sees it. Details below.

Enable the block on the product page
In the template settings, on the “Product page” tab, turn on “Sets” — more in the “Category and product page” article.

For categories and manufacturers — add the module to a layout
To show a set on category or manufacturer pages too, add the module in Design → Layouts — see “Module in a layout”.
When a set isn’t shown. If at least one product of the set is out of stock, the set isn’t displayed. It’s also hidden outside its validity period and for customer groups and stores it isn’t assigned to.
Creating a set
The form has two tabs: “Settings” — what the set is, and “Relations” — who sees it and where.
Settings

| Block | What to set |
|---|---|
| General | The set name, status and sort order. A lower number puts the set higher among others on the product page (0–9999). |
| Set products | Start typing a product name and pick it from the list. At least 2 products are required. For each one set the discount type (percentage 0–100 or fixed amount), the discount value, the quantity — how many units go to the cart as part of the set — and the order. |
| Validity period | Start date and end date. Outside this period the set isn’t shown. Empty — no limit. |
Tip. Give the discount on accessories, not on the main product: “iPhone at full price + case −30% + earphones −15%”. That way the set raises the average order value instead of simply making things cheaper.
Relations

| Block | What to set |
|---|---|
| Who sees it | Customer groups — only the ticked groups see the set (for example, wholesale only). Stores — where the set applies. |
| Additionally show in | Optional. Besides product pages, the set can be shown on pages of selected categories and manufacturers. Empty — not shown there. |
Module in a layout
On category and manufacturer pages a set is displayed by the module. Module settings are in Extensions → Extensions → Modules → Octemplates - Products sets.

- Name — only you see it: this is how the module is called in the module list and layouts.
- Status — a disabled module doesn’t display sets on the site; the sets themselves are kept.
- Use product options — the customer picks options (size, color) right in the set; the option surcharge is included in the set price and discount.
After saving, add the module to the pages you need in Design → Layouts. The product cache is cleared automatically.
